Step 3: Switch Stroke Direction

Jiffycrew Hatching (UE4) allows stroke direction change per object. We can make vertical strokes to horizontal and vice versa.

The vertical stroke direction on the floor

The step 2 result has vertical stroke direction (of course from the current viewpoint) on the floor. We may want to change it to horizontal.

Changing the stroke direction on the floor

The stroke direction control is in the material instances applied to objects. To change the stroke direction of the floor, open "MI_JiffycrewHatching_Floor" and check the "Strokes - StrokeDirection" to activate it. Then check the parameter value box.

Now see the result. The strokes on the floor are horizontal.

SwitchDirection option swaps u and v texture coordinates of stroke textures.
